DAY 5 – Detox Water

Summer is here which means, my water bottle suddenly becomes my best friend.

Water is essential for proper hydration, but just drinking normal water would become little boring. Water can do more than quenching  thirst, adding just a few of  natural ingredients to water will not only make it taste yummy and refreshing, but will also help you boost your immune system and energy levels.

Basil is stocked with antioxidants and has antibacterial properties.

Lemons are a great source of vitamin C, which has been observed to decrease the chance of heart disease and cancer.

Mint in this detox water not only helps ease sick stomach but it also aids in digestion and headaches.






  1. Basil leaves                    15-20 nos.
  2. Lemon                            2 nos.
  3. Fresh mint leaves         10-15 nos.
  4. Water



  1. In a bottle, squeeze a half lemon and for the other lemon, cut thin slices. Add basil and mint.
  2. Fill with water. Let it sit for a few hours for the flavors to infuse.

Enjoy this detox water and keep yourself hydrated this Summer.
